Campaign for Compassion gears up for final legislative push of the session
On September 15th at 10:00AM at the Capitol Building Front Steps in Harrisburg, PA, the Campaign for Compassion will be holding a rally. This rally will be in support of SB1182 and HB2182, the medical cannabis bills introduced by Senators Folmer and Leach, and Representatives Cox and Cohen.
The PA legislature will return to Harrisburg on the 15th, and Senator Folmer is expecting the Senate Appropriations Committee to take up SB1182 so it can go to the floor for a full vote on the 16th. There are only 12 active days left in the current legislative session, so we need to make use of every single one of them if we are to succeed in getting medical marijuana legalized in PA this year. Otherwise, everything goes back to square one next year – all bills will have to be re-introduced, given new numbers, be subjected to more hearings, etc.
