Four ?green? entrepreneurs living right off the Temple University campus were arrested Tuesday for growing and selling hydro-ponic marijuana, according to Philadelphia Police Wednesday.

Four college students were arrested for growing and selling marijuana.
Narcotics officers descended onto the 2200 block of North Camac Street in North Philly and found 16 lbs (7,264 grams) of pot with a street value of $145,280. There were also 9 live marijuana plants in the house worth more than $12,000.

Kevin Mastridge, Michael Deltito, Marcella Gringeri and Jeremy Harris were all charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver, Use of Communication Faculty, Criminal Conspiracy and related offenses.

Three of the four arrested were college students. Mastridge and Deltito are students at Temple University. Gringeri is a student at La Salle University.

Phila. Police Bust Pot Ring Near Temple Univ. Campus

Philadelphia police say they raided a pot house near Temple University?s North Philadelphia campus and broke up a marijuana distribution ring that sold to Temple students.

Police allege that two 21-year-old Temple students, identified as Kevin Mastridge (top left) and Michael Deltito (top right), along with 20-year-old Marcella Gringeri (bottom left), a student at LaSalle, and Jeremy Harris (bottom right), from Adams County near Gettysburg, Pa. and who is not a student, are facing a long list of drug charges.

Narcotics officers say they found 16 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $145,000 and $12,000 in cash when they hit the off-campus home in the 2200 block of North Camac Street earlier this week.

Jeff is a junior from West Chester, Pa. who is majoring in communications major here at Temple:

"I can understand why somebody would do something like that, but, at the same time it?s breeding a lot of other bad things. There?s a lot of guns on the street, and guns lead to drugs, lead to murders. So we gotta clean up the city."

Police picked up leads on the pot house while stepping up patrols in neighborhoods near the Temple campus after a series of recent robberies of students.

Sorry, but 9 hydro plants are no where near $12K.  You'd be lucky to get 27 ounces total @ 3 ounces per plant.  Damn how they inflate the prices.  And that's part of the problem too, they make it seem worse then it is.  Narco-Cops lying to the people.  Can't be losing the federal weed money now can they?  But guess what coppers in Pa, soon your weed vendetta will be over and we will have won.  And then just think of all the lives you've helped ruin by your bullshit.

Let me just say that being a student in the city of Philadelphia for about 16 years (8 elementary, 4 high school, and in 1 more year 4 college) this such a petty drug bust by the Philly Narc Cops considering that the house next to this house was probably a crack or meth house. I went to the prep for high school and have walked by houses with visible "meth making accessories". I watched the movie "Totally Baked" on hulu.com and they mocked a sad reality. They were showing 2 guys boiling up meth and they showed narcs moving in on what appeared to be that house, the 2 guys looked outside and saw the cops moving into the house across the street where they raided a senior citizen using medical marijuana...
