Hello I'm new and don't yet smoke but I support the cause.
I have untreatable Arthritus, chronic leg,joint,back neck ,arm,feet,hands,fingers,and everywhere else pain daily . Due to a serious car accident 6 yrs ago. I would love to try anything that was safe and might just reduce my pain and fatuige. and I think it's just plain dumb that instead I can go to my DR and get narcotics which I don;t because of the danger of taking them daily I would rather suffer the pain then to be an addict. 

 Anyway I was just gona ask can anyone attend the meetings or do i have to join first..

I am a new member of this website.  First of all, HELLO, I am jake, and I LOVE anything and everything about the cannabis plant.  I love everything the plant provides for people, medicinal, euphorically, for any reason.  I know this plant can do wonders in the world, and one day I know that eventually the voices of the PEOPLE, not the politians, will be the define moment in history when marijuana is legalized.  I am currently in the process of going to school, that is in the fall, to study the field of horticulture, and eventually attend oaksterdam, or a related school, so I may one day be a teacher for...well we all know by now lol.  I will be attending this meeting, with hopefully five plus, and if there is anythying I can possibly do to help, just let me know.  We will win this war, just need to lose a couple of battles in the process... 439

Yo Philly,One of your brothers/sons is ready to come back and help you out when you start gathering signatures for a ballot initiative to decriminalize mj, pass a medical marijuana initiative, of legalize industrial hemp and cultivation. Last fall I worked in WA state to put I-502 on the ballot.In WA, MJ will be put in stores, sold and taxed@ 25%. It will get rid of the card game. Right now, I'm working on Oregon's I-9, Oregon Cannabis Tax act, legalize industrial hemp and cultivation, and I-24 Decriminalize MJ, which would treat it like alcohol. No smoking around children, driving or in public. The exception would be to smoke in designated areas, like the beer garden, at public gatherings. We stay paid, for this work here, and expect to be paid wherever we put in work. I'm in Astoria, OR today , at the mouth of the mighty Columbia River, collecting signatures in a downpour and 60 mph winds, with a few sun breaks. Unfortunately PA doesn't have a ballot initiative process, though we're open to suggestions. Good to see you didn't forget your roots.  gthumb

PA has no voter initiative process? What about referendum's or legislative referral to voters? Are you totally dependent on the PA legislature to do the job?. I can remember in about 1972 collecting signatures in Monroe County, to stop the Tox Island Dam project, on the Delaware river. So if the legislature is not involved, or working on other issues what do PA voters do to initiate and pass legislation? Ed
