Paper: Morning Call, The (Allentown, PA)
Title: EAST ALLEN TOWNSHIP ** MAN ACCUSED OF GROWING 12 POUNDS OF MARIJUANA
Date: November 15, 2007

A Bethlehem man has been charged with growing numerous marijuana plants in an East Allen Township home.

Tyler Neith, 25, of 1121 North Blvd., was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver, possession of drugs and possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia.

Neith was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Sherwood Grigg and was freed on $5,000 bail.

Colonial Regional police said Neith was growing about 12 pounds of marijuana in a house at 5380 Colony Drive in the township.

According to court records:

On Oct. 16, Colonial Regional police Detective Charles Horvath was contacted by an investigator with the federal Drug Enforcement Agency in Allentown. An informant told DEA agents about the marijuana plants at the Colony Drive home.

Police said they found 19 recently harvested marijuana plants hanging to dry. Police also found several marijuana plants growing in a closet and an "elaborate" pot-growing operation in a basement complete with a watering system, numerous lights and an air conditioner.

Police said Neith was not living in the Colony Drive home.

Yea, no kidding...

I looked a bit further and see that this guy is a trouble maker...   Very surprised to see him get a real light bail with 12 lbs...   I wonder if he is a rat...    hitwithrock

Searching on the PA Courts website shows he has several priors...

Yeah the bail is light...suspicious. however so is the fact that the Federal DEA got involved in the case when there is only12 pounds and an unspecified amount of plants involved. I thought the threshold was 100 plants...  eat
