For over a year, I've been haranguing Penna. politicians to arrange an appointment with one of our Representatives in order to provide up-to-date testimony on Medical Marijuana to committee. Pennsylvania has two bills in the House and Senate stuck in committee with no vote in sight. Yesterday, I finally got a glimpse at a legitimate beginning to my journey. An aide to Pennsylvania State Representative Keith Gillespie contacted me and assured me that after the budget was finalized (end of June), they would visit with me at my home in early July to discuss my research on cannabinoids and how they effect neurodegenerative disease. I am diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy, and relegated to a wheelchair. This is an incurable, progressive disease so I don't have time to become embroiled in Politics. I simply want the opportunity to get in front of these guys and present my case from my wheelchair. It's a beginning !
