The campaigns' for decriminalizationof mj and legalization of industrial hemp and cultivation of mj continue here in Oregon. We have reached the halfway point in gathering signatures, and it looks good, for qualifying both ballot measures. Our days are getting longer, more outdoor events are increasing the contacts with registered voters for signatures. Decriminalization,#24 a constitutional change, needs 116,000 to qualify, we've collected about 80,000 and will go after another 80,000; legalization,#9 a statutory change, needs 87,000 to qualify, we have collected about 70,000 and will go after another 70,000. The assault on the Oaklandsterdam Clinic, in Oakland CA, has made the west coast more determined to protect our constitutions, and our human rights.

This is an update on the Oregon campaigns for decriminalization of mj and legalization of industrial hemp and cultivation of mj. This week we reached 122,000 signatures on decrim of mj, we need 116,000. The other initiative legalization of industrial hemp, etc. reached 108,000 signatures, 87,000 are needed. So the gross sum of signatures exceeds the amounts needed for both ballot measures. We will continue to the end, on July 5, 2012, collecting for both measures since the net sum will be in the end be the gross minus the invalid signatures, and we are determined to get both issues in front of the voters in November 2012. We have about 43 days left, the weather is raining less, days are longer, more events are happening. All crews are very high in morale, as we sprint towards the finish line, for the petition drives.
