I like mine, its great for most occasions. Generally speaking, you can use it in public, and 99.5% of people would be clueless as to what the heck you were doing. What do you mean you're having problems with it relighting?

Also curious to your problem, I've got the original (2nd edition) version and have only had one problem with it not wanting to light. I emptied the butane and refilled a few times as stated in the manual and haven't had a problem since. "It's an inhaler" ;)

I am still hesitant to use a vaporizer.  I love my bowl and smoking too much. Besides not wanting to inhale smoke (I enjoy this) is there any other reason to use a vaporizor. Does it provide the same effect as smoking. Do you use as much, less, or more cannabis?

Its more stealthy, if you were to, uh... ::ahem:: HYPOTHETICALLY...

Wanna get more bang for your buck- generally speaking you'll get at least double the mileage versus smoking your herbs. (Meaning it will take you half the normal amount to get to where you normally want to go.)

Wanna smoke on your lunchbreak, and not come back smelling like a pink floyd concert?

Wanna smoke before/during/after family functions, and either (A) not have everybody bum your stash or (B) prevent grandma from ever discovering the horrible, horrible truth that you've grown up to be a pot-smoking, tree-hugging hippie, LOL.

For college folk: Wanna avoid the wrath of the evil floor monitor/TA in the dorms?

It also slices and dices, it even makes julienne fries!  Oh no wait... where the hell was I? Oh damnit, I'm typing out loud again!

Anyway, those are probably the top reasons where you would likely be better served by a vape.  I'm sure there are a few others i'm probably forgetting.

I have nothing against a joint, blunt, bowl, bong or bubbler, in fact, i probably use them more often.

That being said, I'm totally buying myself a volcano for christmas.... I'll let you know what i think of that after i get it, mwahahahaha!

That was all I had to hear. I was actually on Amazon reading reviews for the  iolite Portable Vaporizer when I got your reply :)

None of  the other reasons would be a selling point for me. I roll my own smokes, so stealth isn't that much of an issue, as my cigarettes look like joints to begin with. (I was stopped once walking down the street of Phoenixville because a cop drove by and thought I was smoking a joint.  ugh Only time I did that was when I lived in Holland.)

When you vaporize you get a whole lot more out of your weed than smoking it it takes less to get high. Cuts down on smell. You get more of the thc to your lungs and you're only using about a third as much, and now that it has been vaped you have what's left there's the decision to smoke it,canna butter, oil for baking and the list goes on.

It's happened a couple of times while vaporizing most of the time when you hear the gas you see the orange light and it runs for a second or two.It will hiss until you relight it.

Sounds like either a bad unit or (more likely) bad batch of butane.  There are specific brands/types of butane that you need to use with these units.  If you use the wrong kind of butane, over the course of extended or heavy usage, it will leave behind all sorts of funky crap that will build up over time and eventually cause the unit to fail. According to the manufacturer's website, the warranty is for 2 years, so if you contact them, you should be able to get a replacement or have your current unit repaired.  gthumb
