Now maybe the patients can start getting some medicine. They should have allowed patients to grow their own. Do they really believe New Jersey's patients can be served with only six dispensaries? What are the legislators afraid of?

Publicly they state they are afraid of it becoming like it is in California, where marijuana mini marts outnumber the number of CVS and Wallgreens in LA County. Such a concern is voiced in just about every news article on the subject in NJ.
Privately, well that's anyone's guess. However it seems obvious to me that with the democratic party running the legislature that individual freedom would give way to a heavily restricted and state centralized monstrosity. In fact I would have been shocked if it were any other bill.
